General Information

It is the intent of the Butler High School Band and the Band Booster organization that every qualified Butler High School student who desires to participate in the Marching Band program has the opportunity to participate. The Band Boosters provides several opportunities for financial assistance. Direct financial assistance is available based on demonstration of financial need. Funds are limited and must be applied for each year. Decisions about approval of financial assistance are made by the Band Director in coordination with the Executive Board of the Band Boosters.

In addition to direct financial assistance, there are many other opportunities to reduce out-of-pocket fee expenses:

  • Volunteering at the Butler High School visitors concession stand during football games (one shift earns $15 towards marching fees)
  • Selling fruit during the winter fruit sale (a percentage of fruit sold is credited towards marching fees)
  • Participating in other fundraisers to be determined ¬†(past fundraisers included selling GoPlaySave coupon books, and working at the Matthews United Methodist Church consignment sale)

 

How to Apply for Financial Assistance

Complete the Application for Financial Assistance form (linked below) and return to the Band Director.  The deadline for the 2017-2018 season is May 2, 2017.  Applications can be hand delivered, mailed or emailed to:
